Timm Roller is an Artist and Designer, working in Sound, Music and Digital Media.
His current practice focuses on a Materialism of Sound : In its qualities, Sound is a Secondary Object. It is connected, but not bound to the source, it is emitted from. By that, it becomes an object of virtual haptic qualities. You can touch it – but you cannot. This is where he is focused in:
Sound as a haptic experience.

His sonic work, mainly using digital sound processes and analogue synthesizers, can be heard on stage – as solo-performances as well as for dance and theatre, in motion picture and for brands. He performed at places like CTM Festival/Berghain and Ars Electronica Center and is co-founder of the Dance Company SPECIES. As a Performer for Contemporary Music, he performs with his duo AAA---AAA. He is running the record label Fake Marble Classical.

His work as a photographer and media artist has been shown in international exhibitions and is partly in private collections.

As a lecturer and teacher, he is invited on Speculative Sound Narratives, Digital Media in Music and Performance and Sound Design.
